The Academy of Modern Behavioral Analysis and Strategies is beginning its work. Its mission is to train competent specialists in applied behavior analysis, to support parents of children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, and to introduce scientifically grounded and ethical behavioral methods in education and the social sphere.
The Academy’s team brings together experts with practical, academic, teaching, and international experience. Their competencies align with the Academy’s key areas of work: the professional training of behavior analysts, the creation of educational materials, the training of parents and specialists, the development of inclusive practices, and the adaptation of international experience to Ukrainian realities.
Alla Moskalets is the founder of the Academy and the author of its concept, a Master of Education, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and IBA, and the founder and president of the Ukrainian Association of Behavior Analysts. She has many years of hands-on experience working with children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, developing individual intervention programs, providing supervision, and training specialists. As the author of training courses, webinars, and methodological materials, she combines the scientific principles of ABA with the real needs of children, families, and educational teams. Her experience in international projects enables her to introduce modern professional standards and evidence-based practices in Ukraine.
“We need to train specialists who will apply ABA methods professionally and ethically. At the same time, parents should gain access to clear strategies that help them support their child’s development more effectively. Above all, our materials will show how to apply ABA methods in specific everyday and learning situations,” says Alla Moskalets.
Alina Ivanenko is a PhD, a certified behavior technician (IBT), an associate professor at Donbas State Pedagogical University, and the author of scientific publications. Her expertise covers research methodology, the development of educational programs, teacher training, and the application of modern technologies in teaching children with autism. Participation in the international projects ABA-VR and Visegrad+ gave her practical experience in creating innovative learning materials, using virtual reality in professional training, and developing positive behavior support. At the Academy, she will help ensure the scientific soundness of programs and turn research findings into accessible educational tools.
Yevheniia Panichevska is a Master of Education and a lecturer at the Department of Social Work of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.” Her professional experience includes training future specialists in the social sphere, developing educational materials, and implementing inclusive approaches in work with people who need support. Participation in the international projects Visegrad+ and Erasmus+ deepened her expertise in positive behavior support, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the application of behavioral strategies in education and social work. At the Academy, this experience will help adapt materials for teachers, psychologists, social workers, and other specialists in related professions.
The Academy’s educational programs will combine scientific evidence, a practical focus, ethics, and humanity. Professional and short training programs, webinars, podcasts, articles, checklists, and protocols will help specialists advance their qualifications and help parents apply clear behavioral strategies in their child’s daily life and learning.
Our goal is also to combine scientific evidence, a practical focus, ethics, and international experience adapted to Ukrainian realities. Our mission is to help people better understand behavior and find effective solutions for learning, development, and support.
